Hi there and thank you!

I am overwhelmed with gratitude at the response my lettering has received via instagram, and by popular demand I am launching a blog through this platform so you can all get to enjoy the process.

Where it Started

 I am a self-taught lettering artist. I have loved doodling since the days you could write your name in bubble letters on your desk nametag. For me, that was 5th grade.  Lettering has always be a therapeutic activity for me. In 2012, my best friend and I started an event planning business, and I began to provide lettering services. I addressed thousands of envelopes and seating cards, and that to me was really special. Not only were we assisting in making a couple's big day magical, but I was adding a personal touch.. 

In 2015, after the birth of my twin boys and moving from Connecticut to California, I started chalkboard lettering to serve as a creative outlet. One milestone board after another, JTB Lettering was born. 

This is Now

Flashfoward to 2020, and my process and work have evolved. I now do lettering and art on various mediums: chalkboard, acrylic, glass, canvas, mirrors, wood, and denim. I also use various types of ink and can seal items if there is a need to make a piece permanent. I provide on-site services for businesses and event spaces where there is space for signage. Last, but not least, I now host lettering workshops at small shops and in my own home. This is by far my favorite lettering experience, because I love bringing my community together. Whether you're a mompreneur, DIYer, aspiring artist, or want to improve your penmanship, there's always a seat for you at my table.
